Thank you for visiting our website, and getting to know a little about Robbie and our foundation that we started to honor him and his memory. Please let us know that you visited! Sign our guestbook, and let us know if you would like to be added to our mailing list or email list, and include your address if you'd like. We love hearing from people who knew Robbie, and those who would didn't but would like to help us remember him by joining us to help save other young lives.

2008-06-06 Jessica, Ottawa Canada congratulations and please continue this wonderful work - what a way to honor your son. My son is 7 and in his third year of little league - I have to say, people are talking more and more about defibrillators. We have one in our local community centre that houses hockey rinks and pools, now it's time to convince the board that baseball needs them too! My prayers are with you, your family and little Robbie.
2008-06-06 Jessica Schmalfuss Jill you are an inspiration to all. Keep up the wonderful work that you do. I have forwarded this to all I know in a few different states to spread the word! As we speak, the entire Virginia Beach school system is getting your message! Always sending my love for your family.
2008-06-06 Jeanie I want to tell you how deeply sorry I am for your lose. I just read about this on CNN, it brought me to tears. I have a 7 year old daughter that plays little league and your story got me to think that wee need to have a life saving device on the field. We are from a very small town that only has 3 little fields to play on. And we really need to think about getting one of these on the field. I am going to speak to the President of our Little League (that so happens to be my uncle) and bring his awareness to this need. You never know when you will need one of these. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. I will definetly spread the word about your foundation. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
2008-06-06 Leslie I want to commend you on your hard work in saving lives. Your son, Robbie, is a beautiful boy. His spirit lives on through your dedication in preventing tragedies to others, especially children. Best wishes to your foundation's future endeavors.
2008-06-06 Susan Gold I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have two sons and a daughter and am so in awe of your strength during such a tragic time. Please accept my donation to your foundation so as to remind you that your story is in the minds and hearts of others and our best hopes and wishes are with you.
2008-06-06 DL My deepest sympathies. As someone knowledgable in this field, I would like to add the following. In line with the chain of survival; where ever you place an AED, there should be a structured mandatory program in place where EVERYONE (teachers, age-appropriate students, janitors, parents etc) attends. They learn and refresh basis CPR skills, and you can structure a system like the Seattle model - on a smaller scale. In Seattle upward of 45% of the population, including school-aged kids, have had 1 or more CPR classes (including kids, age-appropriate). It's a way of raising awareness, informing the community, demystifying AEDs, and extending and solidifying your terrific program. RC optional programs are great, but not enough. It all comes bacck to $$.
2008-06-06 Lisa Fresa Thank you sharing your story. I am on the board of our little league and we have been discussing trying to purchase these. They are quite expensive we would need at least 2 for our main fields. If you have any idea how we can get one at a discounted rate please contact me. Our league has roughly 600 players. Our web site is sheltonnational.org if you need contact info
2008-06-06 Lisa I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son. My son David Lee died at the age of 8 (he would have celebrated his 9th birthday 2 weeks after his accident) when he was struck in the chest with a standard hard baseball. If an AED had been available, he might have lived. Because of his accident, the recreation department in our town changed several aspects of the youth baseball program. They now use a low impact ball, which looks and feels like a regular hardball, but has a little bit of give to it. They also no longer allow kids under 12 in the on deck circle. Please accept my deepest condolences.
2008-06-06 Katie-Anne I read your story on CNN.com today and made it the subject of my Opinionated News blog. The $5 I earned from the blog has been donated through your paypal account system. Thank you for everything you're doing to try to stop another parent from feeling the pain you feel.
2008-06-06 Lorrie My heart is so sad for your loss of your beautiful boy. This pic of him at the stadium, dreaming of being on the field someday...he IS in heaven, having the most awesome games imagined! God bless you all! I will help as much as I can..for Robbie.
